Just got my car booked in today for the pedal recall. The girl at the service desk who booked the car in said there was also a recall for the hand brake which they would do at the same time. Anyone else heard of this one? What's wrong with the hand brake?

If there was a handbrake recall, surely we'd have a letter from VW on this as well? Ask her to check their VW correspondance and email or phone VW Customer services and ask them. I think she is misleading you.
