I've bought a new battery for 9n but am a bit unsure what'll happen when I disconnect the battery regarding the radio. Will I need to enter the radio code when connecting the new battery? Reason for asking is I don't know it.
Would it be ok to connect a battery jump starter to the leads on battery so when I do disconnect it, it'll still have a constant 12v feed.

Re: replacing battery 9n
no need to connect jump starter kit...
when you disconnect battery it will you reset your preset radio stations
it will also reset your trip (not the total mileage, just the trip distance) and time on the dials

Thanks for the advice guys! That's good to know that the radio will be ok. As for the windows, that seems to be a bit intermittent with the one touch open anyway!
Re: replacing battery 9n
So I got round to replacing my battery yesterday. I was very surprised that for the length of time it was disconnected whilst I cleaned the terminals, that when I reconnected the leads & tried the radio, it hadn't changed anything & I didn't even have to retune the stations!!
Just wanted to say thanks again for the advice!

If that car is the "mother" of that radio, ie first car it was fitted to, then that radio will always, or as long as it stays working, recognise when it is reconnected to that car.pwheels wrote:So I got round to replacing my battery yesterday.
