alarm help!

Post by mswuk »

Right a little while ago my alternator failed and the battery is not holding full charge so they need replacing but when the battery was dead I had to move the car (pushing it unfortunately!) and when I opened the door the alarm went off.It didn't matter if I relocked the car via key or remote the alarm still sounded.Even removed the battery but this didn't help (assuming there is another battery for the alarm?) and then, not my wisest idea but yanked out all the fuses I could find! Alarm still sounded until after 20 mins then stopped so I assume the alarm battery was then dead.

Now will the alarm go off when I put a new battery on? Are there any other issues I might come accross after replacing the battery?

And is there a diagram for all the fuses and ratings so I can put them back in?

Just replace the battery as normal

The fuse guide is either in the owners manual or in the. haynes manual if you have one.
