Double Din Headunit Installation help

I have a DNX8220BT Kenwood. I cant get it to fit. I ordered a fitting adaptor http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FP-17-00-VOLK ... 2a1811a2b8

I cant get it to fit with head unit, It fits around DNX when on my lap. The adaptor fits in hole without DNX. However together they dont fit in the hole (slightly too wide). No matter how much force I use it wont fit. Should I trim the facia to fit it? Have I got wrong facia?

The hole already is double din. You don't need a fitting adapter. The HU should fit straight in.

Props to the eBay seller. Selling rice to the Chinese comes to mind. Get your money back.
