Water Temp Warning Light worries

This is going to sound somewhat like Karls oil warning light post, and they are most likely the same clocks as he tried as I bought them off him.

I fitted them the weekend and all is going smoothly but then I realise that the Rev counter is miles off (sits at 0 whilst idling and doesn't move until about 2500-3000 revs) and then today when I start her up, the water light won't go out. Just keeps flashing.

I checked all the water and pipes and stuff and they are all just fine and dandy so I put it down to one of these weird clock swap thingys as I had to get to work.

Now that I'm at work and the engine has warmed up, I can't get it keep flashing, it just goes off as normal!!

Don't worry Karl, I'm not blaming you buddy, but it seems that there is more to swapping these clocks over than first appears

I'm sorry to hear about that. Any more problems and get in touch. I can arrange a refund if you would like. I thought it was my car not the clocks!

Can't say I experienced problems with the rev counter on those clocks though. My only problem was the oil pressure light and buzzer.

Hey, no worries dude.
I'll get them sorted out. It's not doing it now... I think it might be something to do with it starting from really cold.. ie. overnight starting...

It sounds like you might have some dodgy contacts. Take out the clocks again and clean the plug and the socket for the clocks, maybe thatll sort it.
