Interior Light intermittent (above rear view mirror)

Post by kaz2 »

Hi Guys,

I have a 57 Plate VW Polo 1.2 70ps, which I think is a MkIV polo ?

The interior light (above the rear view mirror) works intermittently.
I have changed the bulb for a new one and it is still intermittent.

o Anyone any ideas ?
o Anyone a wiring diagram ?
o Anyone ideas / instructions how to access wiring / relevant areas ?

Thank you

:)

Kind regards

Kaz

If you pop the lens cover off you should be able to see two screws that you'll need to undo before you can pull the light unit out to get to the wiring. Hopefully its simple like something's just worked loose... Is it intermittent when you open the door or if you just try and turn it on?

Good start but intermittent faults are the worst to find.....I take it the light goes OFF intermittently....when on ON or when door opens?
