Hey ciclo,
I got your PM but somehow Im not able to send reply
I will be redoing everyhing tonight as I got new wiring delivered today
I will report back the results as soon as I have it done. From what it looks the headlight switch got damaged due to my error as on of the pins in T10 was badly crimped and caused a short to the fog light circuit.
Im not sure why I cant reply, perhaps you disabled your pms?

Is enabled to send private messages.
Just one suggestion: When you make an electrical circuit is important to use a multimeter to check the suitability of the wiring.
The problem is that you will have to have enough post in the forum to send private messages ...

Hi Ciclo!
Congratulation the nice mods. I would be happy if i could do your mods.
Can You give some advice? I have 2012 comfortilne 6R.
I would like MFD and multifunction steering wheel.
I asked a guy from skodateile.cz, who sad the following GTI MFD (6R0 920 870) is not compatible to my 6R:
http://www.skodateile.cz/index.php?pg=p ... Volkswagen
He sad only the this will fit:
6R0 920 870C
Which version MFD have You got?
I thought all the MK6 Golf steering wheel is fit in 6R, but im not sure.
Can I make from that steering wheel:
http://www.e-autoparts.eu/165-392-thick ... 19091f.jpg
with that buttons:
http://www.cars-equipment.com/www/en/sh ... ing-wheel/
multifunction steering wheel?
Or i have to change my old steering wheel to this beuty(for example)?:

Re: ciclo's Polo. R-line 1.2 TSI 90hp 119gr.
So nice! Wish I could do all those mods to mine!
I was wondering where you got that net for in the trunk? If anyone knows please help me out.
also in reply to @Aszfaltbetyar
Im pretty sure all steering wheels with the same looking airbag, more circular version, so I think 2010 onwards are all compatible across most newish vw models.
Im not sure about the new golf wheels but pretty certain about the bottom link you attached with the scirocco wheel, it will be a straight swap into a 6r polo.
If you want multifunctional though you have to buy a few other parts. Theres a how to in the DIY section from the home page which is good, but its a lot of work.
Also you need a special tool, a torx bit to undo the current steering wheel. If you need a tutorial im sure you can find one somewhere, if not I will explain it.

Thanks for your comments.
Net on the side of the trunk you can get in a SEAT dealer with the reference number that is in the pictures.

Thank you, with patience and information you can do all mod's.
What is the engine of your Polo?
6R0 920 870 GTi modell 280Km/h
6R0 920 870 C BlueGT modell 240Km/h (mine)
Both are compatible for petrol. No diesel.

For the multifunction steering wheel you have here a good tutorial:
http://www.uk-polos.net/view ... 71#p421709
I'm afraid you'll have to install a new steering wheel as GTI, R-line, BlueGT, Scirocco, etc ... to hold the multifunction controls.

If your airbag is compatible you spend less money. (for example)
http://www.cars-equipment.com/www/en/sh ... at-bottom/
or
http://www.cars-equipment.com/www/en/sh ... om-r-line/
and (in any case)
http://www.cars-equipment.com/www/en/sh ... -loom-for/
Perhaps the new restyling parts are compatible and interests you wait to make your changes.

Re: ciclo's Polo. R-line 1.2 TSI 90hp 119gr.
Thanks the detailed help Ciclo!
I have an 77 kW 1.2 TSI ( manual 6 gang ), so i dont need the 280 km/h display!
. If the GTI version is chepar i will take that.
Skodateile guy sad the GTI tacho will not work in my 6R, dont know why he sad that.
Is there any other diffrence between the two modul?
I think i have to change the whole steering wheel, i read my current airbag is not fit in the flat steering wheel.
I saw the new Polo, but i prefer the current design.

Then the fully matched your Polo is the instrument cluster of BlueGT.
No more differences.

Is Your blue-gt display show the gear, and the gear change?

No. I've never had problems with this.
With Volkswagen original parts and proper installation you should not have problems.
Long time no take my car to the dealer because I do not like the way they work to get their benefits...(spain)

Hi ciclo,
Yes multimeter is my best friend
I redone the mod and still get same thing - no high beam function only flash.
Ill post a picture of my wiring later if thats ok?
My girlfriend is ok with this for now anyway. I think it has to be to do with BCM now??
Hmm.
We have 2013 R-line and two weeks ago we fitted 6R0 XXX 870 cluster. Its 1.4 petrol model and there was no problems adapting it at VW. It looks SO much better now

HI stan-the-man
Then, with the switch to position Auto, High beam:
- Pulling the stalk work (flash).
- Push the stalk does not work.
In any other position of the switch all lights are working properly.
Is that correct?
I think the problem is with the BCM whose part number ending in 90. For now it is the second time that me confirm this. (not counting the times I've read)
I like to find a solution to this, but I have no a VW Polo with this reference number in the BCM.
I also fit the instrument cluster in the vw dealer. Guided VAS function is required.
It is a very good mod ...
