1.4 85bhp remap?

Hi,

Thinking of getting a remap maybe.
Just wondering if anyone has had one and what's difference if any?

Not had a remap on the Polo, but did have an E87 1.6 1 Series remaped from 115 to 129Bhp, biggest difference was a more responsive throttle response. Extra power was noticeable but not by much. An N/A engine will only give around an extra 10% power/torque, so won't make it that much quicker TBH.

You'd be lucky to gain 3 bhp for the cost of about £400. Really not worth it in my opinion. In all honesty, you would have been much better off going for a 1.2 TSI Not really what you wanted to hear I know, but unfortunately power gains on a non turbo engine are very small, and very expensive for what you get in return.

It's true tbh. Hmm I will have a tinker around, see what I can do, May just drop another bloody engine in ha I wish. Maybe il just stick to lowering it a lil and new alloys like everyone else has with these ens lol.

Take the Low n Slow route

Think that may be the best option tbh.. Still gna see what I can do even if it just gains me a few extra horses, every little helps think customising is best coz naff all for non turbos out there. I shall keep you updated of any progress
