Rear suspension noise

I have a 2004 1.4 TDi that i have changed the shock absorbers on. But now there is a funny knocking noise. I've double checked the fitting and everything appears correct and tight but I just can't cure the noise. Anyone got any ideas at all? Please.

Assuming you didnt have the knock before you fitted the new s/a, and assuming they are fitted correctly, I would suggest you have a faulty s/a.

I would check that you have the upper bump rubbers in the correct position.
