1.8T coilpack question

Post by andyc315 »

so my first coilpack has **** its pants, cylinder 4.

i have a brand new genuine vw one on order for a temp fix, cos the others are no doubt on their way out sooner or later...

my question is, do i order another 3 genuine ones, for a grand total of £110.11

or option B is to fix the broken one, and order 4 TFSI coilpacks and the plastic adapter plate for £99.98 and replace them when they arrive (£127.51 total cost)

are the tfsi ones worth it?

or option C, replace the broken one and hope the others dont break? (unlikely)

Or option D

Keep your beady eyes on ebay, thats what I did.

Got all 4 brand new genuine VW for £29 notes in total.

Had to buy em one by one but saved a heap.

Try wing it and phone/pop into your local vw main stealer and ask if there is any outstanding recalls on your vehicle I did
And I had a coil pack recall on my 06 polo gti that was outstanding . Always worth a try.. Cheers Jim ..
