2014 models to order from April 23rd 2014

BlueGT price has jumped up according to one website, yet the one above quotes this model starting from £17,710 which I believe is almost identical to the current manual version. Fingers crossed for this being accurate, as the other site had the BlueGT close to 20k! Maybe that's the DSG version.

To quote:
First orders for the 2014 Volkswagen Polo will be taken on 23 April 2014 with a starting price of £11,100. Initial deliveries are expected to arrive in late July.

The fast new Volkswagen Polo GTI will not go on sale until next year – priced from around £19,000 – but it could worth the wait. Both a seven-speed DSG automatic gearbox or six-speed manual gearbox will be available and the Volkswagen GTI's 1.4-litre petrol engine's power will increase from 177bhp to 189bhp, which means it should go from 0-60mph in around 6.5 seconds.

Big changes for me are in the hidden areas - altered power steering spec for improved feedback etc. and I think they have also changed the rear suspension setup to the same as the Golf? Might be wrong there.

The red model in that link looks much better. Looks like it's the exact same bumper as the blue but with different inserts. Wonder is it the same fog lights as our current model as that means it would be a simple case of taking out my fogs. Buying the new bumper and sticking it on for a fresh face lifted polo lol

The SE is listed as having a 1.4 engine and I thought that had been dropped and replaced with the 1.2 TSi 85 :?:

Overall pricing looks good and the Match model when it arrives will be another great buy. Overall the SE or SEL seem to look the best on the inside and outside IMO. Interesting that VW have not added the configurator for the FL Polo. You can spec and price on Drivethedeal.com for the FL Polo already though.

Buy a car website has quite detailed specs, if not pricing.

You would have thought they'd have replaced due to a seemingly fairly high number of problems. Unless it's just a few here who have got a problem. Not had one problem with mine!

Hmm has that been confirmed somewhere? Was previously suggested it would be replaced with the 1.8 TSI from the new Leon FR and Audi A3
