Anyone fitted rear speakers?

Hi, was wondering if anyone had fitted rear speakers where there arent any mounting points like there are in the gti, i was thinking of building something to do it as i cant find anywhere that sells anything that would work unless anyone knows otherwise?

Can they not be fitted where the rear speakers are atm?

There aren't any speakers in the rear and nothing to mount to either, behind the plastic trim there's a gap and then the body panel!
