How to fit remote start option

Post by jagjot »

I have vw polo 1.6 16v gti, 6N2, MKV, year 2000.

Wondering if anyone know how to install remote start in my car? target is to heat up the car before leaving to work and also stay locked unless I will open when I am outside my house.

Thanks in advance.

You would need to leave a key with an immobilizer chip in the car, or an immobilizer chip as it wont start without that

You also would have to install a system that ensure that car is in neutral before starting

Remote start to heat up the engine before use is actually one of the worst things you can do - warming a car up causes premature wear to the internal components as oil doesnt circulate that well on idle. Its much better to start it and get in and drive off.
