Hi,
This morning I locked the car with my remote as usual. The turn signal lights usually flash two times or so but this time they stayed on. I didn't look at the car when doing so, so I noticed it an hour later. By then one of the front lights' reflectors already melted. By unlocking the car the lights flashed at turned off and stayed off.
Might this be a relay sticking? And would that be a specific relay or the standard turning signal relay?
Regards
Han

Re: Turn signal lights stay on
The reflector that melted was an aftermarket one. The other one, Hella, was unaffected. So much for saving money by using aftermarket stuff....

Sounds like the indicator / hazard flasher relay has failed - do your indicators work
Re: Turn signal lights stay on
Yes they work. But the central locking system uses a different relay for flashing the lights when locking / Unlocking. Tonight I investigated some more and I think it's relay 53 that I hear clicking behind the fuses. It all works ok for now, but I will replace the relay anyway since it's likely this will happen again. Will change relay 19 for 99 as well.
