How to

Post by dantheram »

disconnect certain items from the ECU.

can anyone help?

for example, how do i stop the ABS talking to the ECU, where do i unplug it? - i need to do this to check that my VCDS isnt being blocked by a faulty module, currently i can't get it to talk to anything, i just get 'No response from controller' errors

Any help on this problem would be very much appreciated, it's driving me mad!!

I unpluged the ABS unit inside the engine bay (the one with the long rectanlge coupler on the side of the ABS mod)

No joy

Have you ever had it working, it might be a configuration error on the laptop you are using ?

worked fine till the other day, then it just stopped.

the exact set-up has also worked on 2 other cars with no issues.

I know it seems like a silly question, have you tried it on the other cars since it stopped working ?

I know on mine there is only one USB port I can use for it to work correctly and I would hate for you to think it's a problem with the car if it isn't. :)

it is highly temperamental but i tried it straight after it packed up on mine on a mk5 golf (was parked next to me so plugged in).

may be worth doing a complete reinstall though i guess.
