You mean you didn't see it before ;-)

Even though everyone said get 185/50/14, theyre tiny at the side of my 175/65 13's.
Gotta check speedo out now.

well.... assuming the tread, curvature and all that bobbins is the same.... they should still be a good 17mm smaller across the diameter  which will make em look quite a bit smaller - you've lost 2/3rds of an inch!

road speed will be about 97% of what it was before, with the same reading on the dial.. in other words, you'll see 72 where you saw 70 before. only a little diff but i guess it could be crucial :)

nah mate other way round - the wheels are smaller than your old ones, so whatever speed you were doing before when the dial read 70, you'll now have to make it say 72 to get the same pace... probably about 68 real? :D

just chose those speed as they were the easiest whole numbers to demonstrate it with (actually it's 71 and 73 to be exact but yknow what i mean)

ahhh thats good as it means i can do 30mph and not get flashed by a speed camera ;-)

i was thinking i wud look at clock doing 30 and speed camera would see me doing 35 or summat.
the wheels are tiny against my steels. like rollerskates
proper westcoast ride....only need hydrolics now *throws up a westside sign*

Considering your original speedo could be reading 35 and you wouldn't set off a speed camera, you could comfortably go to the high end of the 30's now.. although I'd recommend either checking it against a GPS tracker or taking your number plates off the first time you pass a camera at that speed :D

As a guide, my speedo read 30 when my true speed according to a GPS tracker was 27mph, and 30mph speed cameras are set to trigger at either 33 or 35mph depending where in the country you are. There's actually a fair bit of play in them.. not that that's any consolation if you get flashed by one :?

are the gps spot on then? madmatt has a originb2 and his reads about 80 when his speedo says about 90mph.

He wondered which was the true reading.
