Turn ignition on and fan comes on

Recently when about to set off for work (cold start) every time when putting keys in ignition and not starting engine the fan comes on !
When engine warms up eventually the fan would stop when arrived for work (so now warm) !
Decided to change the radiator sensor switch without draining the coolant system.
Difficult to gain access to especially all the wiring forms in the way. Used a 30mm deep impact socket should have been a 28mm.
Quick swap over little coolant came out.
Thought great that's it.

So far so good, but then when tried to put 3 pin connector back on I noticed that 2 of the wires had snapped off with about 2cm still attached to the connector. Decided to remove connector and solder on new lengths of wire and then (underneath) solder on the new lengths to the snapped wires from the wire form (had to cut off a tie and cover holding other wiring forms altogether).

Tested the 3 pin connector by shorting pins at end of connector with ignition on to test it worked (it did). Then reconnected and turned on ignition and it did not come on. Job done.

Becareful with the 3 pin connector, little slack to play with, and all the wires looked they were starting to corrode.

Hope this is of use to anyone with same problem.
