Anyone currently waiting on a 6C factory order?

I guessed as much they hardly seem to know what there talking about in the first place which is quite poor from a massive company like there's the guy I spoke to "phil" must have said "Errm" about 20 times while I was on the phone to him :/ iv tweeted vwhelp for a email addressed err I can send in a complaint, my mates mum is pretty high up at Crewe vw so going to ask her what I can do aswell even if it doesn't change anything at least they know I'm not happy with the services that I have been given

@tankmontana to your previous comment: they didn't give me a reason for delay just said they were running slow at the moment but that could have been about the tracker, and thank you I have sent the email to them and a few others I have found and I am trying to find head office's email address now aswell

Hi all,

Been reading this post with interest and just got to add my two penny's worth.
In the same boat as Jamesbluegt, but ordered a week earlier than him, same build week.

Showing on VW tracker still in build, yet another phone call from my dealership to say delivery now mid to end Jan....ish!

This is useless for me as work in january is 6 1/2 days a week due to end of tax year.

My question is do I wait even longer to reg it in march & new reg year?

Also, dealership has asked if there is "anything they can do to help" (already paying for my car tax which runs out end dec)
Should I be asking for money, accessories I.e.door sill protectors or is that pushing it?

@fedupvw no that's not pudding it mate put a complaint in preferably email to them and they will probably offer you a vw good will gesture like they have offered me yesterday it's been a week since I put the complaint in and still don't know when mine will be built as it says in build on tracker but apparently it isn't being done will have more info tomorrow apparently. When I complained the said all we can do is offer a good will gesture but that will be offered when I get the car ill post tomorrow when I ask more questions to my complaint case manager lol

Had email from garage asking me to ring "for a chat" today, to be fair they sound very apologetic but that's no real help.

Please Update us when you know anything and I will do the same.

@fedupvw - Is it a 3/5 door?

Regarding pushing back collection, I would say it really depends on whether waiting the extended time is viable. I was thinking of doing the same thing but it'd mean having waited over 7 months for a car I should have collected the weekend just gone. On the flip side, picking up in March would likely mean missing any bad winter weather, or at least it would if the UK gets any (and assuming you live in the UK).

In terms of getting something back, I personally would start higher, you don't owe them any favours. Extended warranty and service plans come to mind

Assuming both your cars are built next week, they might end up being on the same shipment as alanblakey1's and mine, unless this delay is spread across all models, in which case given the headache alanblakey1 and I experienced with getting build weeks, I will be extremely annoyed if there is a further delay. I just don't see why they bother giving all these statuses of each phase when they really mean nothing, just gets people excited for nothing.

Its a 3 door.

March delivery is do-able for me as I am part exchanging my existing car.

I was also thinking March better for good old British weather.

Hadn't thought about extended warranty - good idea

Spoke to them last night and the person who was dealing with my claim Is passing me on to someone else who will call me every Thursday until I receive my car and they will go over the "good will gesture" with me aswell apparently my car has been built but is still in the factory they give it two weeks for any additional work needed, estimated delivery is mid-end of jam so roughly 3-4 weeks late

On a completely different note, could you guys sanity check these for me (for a 6c 1.2 DSG):

1. Exhaust trim
2. Mats
3. Pedal caps - I'm pretty sure these fit a 6r, but what about the 6c? I've seen what I think are the updated ones but I'm not too fond.

Mine arrived in Emden yesterday, so the dealer is saying I might get it before christmas... Been 3 weeks or so since it went to "in transit".

I hope so as the courtesy diesel golf is slowly poisoning my soul. Must get my old 3 series back out this weekend for a blast

@tankmontana they probably are I told that other people have had the same problems as me on the forum that I'm on this was while I was explaining my complaint

They all seem correct I'm not sure about the pedal caps either though :/ I would r have thought they would have changed the pedals from the 6r to the 6c though

@fedupvw ours must be in the same line then

yeah nobody will call, if you sign up to the notifications on the vw tracker though it should email/text you at each stage although the tracker is s**t lol
