Hard 1st and 2nd

Hi guys,

I have some trouble with my GTI.
Gearbox was rebuilt about a month ago. Now the 3rd goes in without noises.
Still, I have a problem with inserting 1st and 2nd.
When you insert them, you can feel it's not smooth. I can feel some clicks (I have no better description, sorry).

What can it be?

Sounds like your linkage needs adjusting. Quite common after gearbox work

My mechanic did some adjustment for the shift. (under the car).
That's what you have meant? Or something else?
If something else, can you explain with more details?

There's two shift cables. The linkage they attach to must be perfectly aligned or you'll get selection problems. The bushes on these can also wear out

I would suggest taking it back to your mechanic as it's clearly not right
