Tank, That looks the business the led's are nice. I've already had the front off mine and added Cree LED DRL's and Side lights with Osram Nigh Breaker H7's .

Re: Anyone currently waiting on a 6C factory order?
@vc-10 - Yes they are, although the two main lights parts are dimly lit at the ends. Where the DRLs in the other specs (next to the fog bulb), there is just an empty housing which acts as a reflector.
@Doc_House - Cheers mate, I was planning to do the same as you'd done with pretty much the exact same bulbs. I probably still will add the LEDs to the indicators and maybe the fogs.
To everyone, I think I might have found a fairly silly but quite annoying design flaw (unless it's just mine), but if you could check your cars and report back. With the driver side windscreen wiper, lifting it up results in it hitting the bonnet, and someone who doesn't know it'd do that could potentially make a big chip in the paint on the edge. Is this normal or am I supposed to do something special if I want to change the wipers or clean with wind-shield?

Do the LED headlamps have any dynamic capabilities like the xenons do (e.g. curve lighting to follow the path of the road)?
Recently drove the same section of road in the dark on two consecutive nights, once in the Polo (standard lights) and the following day in our Audi with xenons and difference was huge. The way the xenons follow the direction of steering makes them much better (and safer) on unlit roads.
I did have a drive in a Leon FR with LED's but couldn't work out whether there was any dynamic adjustment going on or not. In truth, I just thought they provided a whiter light than the xenons but weren't any brighter.
Also, are the fog lights LED or conventional filament bulbs?
I had ordered xenons on my B GT but the dealership forgot to add it to the factory order, so they've ordered another one which hopefully I'll get in March.
@ Tank Montana - the owners manual states:
The windscreen wiper arms can be lifted off the windscreen when in the service position → Fig. 78 . Carry out the following steps to move the windscreen wipers to the service position:
The bonnet must be closed → Preparation for working in the engine compartment .
Switch the ignition on and then off again.
Briefly press down the windscreen wiper lever → Fig. 76 Ⓔ .
Place the windscreen wiper arms back onto the windscreen before driving away. Briefly press the windscreen wiper lever down to bring the windscreen wiper arms back to the original position.

Tank - Yep that was on the old one too... VW advise changing blades with the wipers in the 12'oclock position.
JohnNW- all the fogs and DRL's on the H7' cars are filament type T10's for the DRL's and H8's for the fogs. I've done my DRL's but haven't got a decent picture
Will try an take a better one soon. Leaving the fog's as OEM as Yellowish is better for foggy conditions.
Forget I took this one earlier -

Super bright Cree H8 30W LEDs look awesome and work brilliantly

I've got some of those bulbs to put in my car on delivery. How do you get into the DRL light unit to access the bulbs? Unscrew from the front or go from behind through the wheel arch liner?

Tank, switch the ignition on then off and press the wiper stalk. This will raise them into a position so you can lift the blades fully. I found this out the hard way on my last car.....Tank Montana wrote: To everyone, I think I might have found a fairly silly but quite annoying design flaw (unless it's just mine), but if you could check your cars and report back. Re: Anyone currently waiting on a 6C factory order?
Thanks for the info about the wipers everyone, prime example of the resourcefulness of this site!
@JohnNW - These lights are static and do not follow the turn direction, but they do range adjust on their own depending on the car weight.
So far, I would say that the lighting of the road is better but only because the light is more white, range is dictated by the car. The field of the lights is quite wide so that also adds benefit. Where I have found they do really impress is when using high beam, the distance seems greater and as they are LED, the response between the two settings is instant.
I was too busy the weekend just gone but I will try and post either a video or better images of the lights in action if I get the chance this one coming.

Re: Anyone currently waiting on a 6C factory order?
Been a while since i've last posted but it's cracking seeing everyone with their cars after the long wait! My car is now sitting at Tyne docks waiting for the dealer to call it up closer to my pick up on 1st March. This wait is absolutely killing me. On the plus side, dealer has called to tell me there is a duplicate spec order waiting for delivery so had to go have a quick peek to see what mine will look like. I'll post the picture soon.
@Doc_house - Them cree's are gorgeous. Exactly the look i'm trying to achieve. Would you be able to post the details on them? Would be rude not to get them!

@Doc_house would I be right in saying these will fit the bill?

Front panel clips off it's fragile plastic so be very careful, two torx screws and it pops out.TheFrog wrote:I've got some of those bulbs to put in my car on delivery. How do you get into the DRL light unit to access the bulbs? Unscrew from the front or go from behind through the wheel arch liner?
