ggggggrrrrrr,
Right, I've purchased som 8x18 et35 wheels for the 6r, the rears are not an issue, as for the fronts... Well that's a different story, sofar I've tried the following tyres...I know ideally I need a higher offset, but you try getting better than a 35..
195/40 rubbed on the foremost part of the front wheel arch by the bumper
215/35 same as the 195/40's
Now I'm waiting for some 205/35's to turn up, hopefully these will do the trick, cars on coilovers sitting quite low...
What are your experiences with 18's
Rant over
Cheers
18" frustration
Re: 18" frustration
I'm running 18x8 ET40. Tyres are 215/35/R18.
Springs are H&R 25/40.
No rubbing at all..

Re: 18" frustration
r32 alloys are 7.5x18 et38/40
Re: 18" frustration
yep, et38 7.5j 18" on my car and its pretty much flush on the front, very slight rubbing on the inner arch on full lock.
How low are you?
where is it rubbing, dont entirely understand what you mean by the foremost part of wheel arch?
Hopefully the 205/35 will do the job, look at this website and compare the wheels:
http://www.willtheyfit.com/index.php?wi ... 35#content
It says the circumference would be smaller but the poke is the same.

Re: 18" frustration
They clear the whole arch dude, but catches like f*ck where the arch meets the edge of the bumper....
Re: 18" frustration
I'll have a look at my arch tomorrow, might be something up with urs
If that doesent work try using a heat gun to shape the plastic and gain more room?
What wheels are they btw?
