New Lights & Lowering

So had a little bit of spare time today as I was working from home. Fitted my new lights. Straight swap for the orignal halogens. I've got a set of Philips white visions H7 and H1 which i will fit tomorrow or the weekend. I may even do a HID conversion.



Fitted new LED number plate lights which were really good quality and no canbus errors.



Lowered the rear, H & R 40mm, took less than 30mins really easy. Started the front which is way more challenging. I had to make a tool for the upper shock removal as it's a bit more funky that I realised. You definely need a knuckle splitter too.



Ran out of time though so my car's doing wheelies currently !!

I also added spacers. 20mm each corner on the rear and 10mm each corner on the front. Perfect size as it's still inside the arch and makes the car feel more sure footed on the road without ruining the ride.

And yes it could do with a clean !

The headlights were off eBay. A German company. Cost £245 Inc shipping. Came in 3 days. Good build quality 'E' stamped and no modification require.

I quite impressed really.

Here's the item number 231401426166.

They do a black version and chrome version. These are the black ones. They come with all the bulbs but there standard ones and look a bit yellow.

Quick tip....don't over tighten the bulb retainer clip screws. (you'll know what I mean once you are get the lights)

Does it just take Halogens? Or is it a xenon replica?

Takes standard bulbs H7 dipped, H1 High beam. The dipped beam has the HID lens which looks great and works really well and projects the beam.

I have factory fitted Xenons on my 64 plate T5 kombi and these are basically an exact replica.

Wow thanks a lot mate , one more question which might sound stupid, can you put xenon bulbs in these if they are replica?

I'm sure you could fit a xenon conversion kit. Just make sure its H7 fitment.

To be honest try the Philips white vision first. cheaper, bright, no ballasts to fail or strange canbus errors. They are 4300k which is pretty much white without the awful blue effect.

Forgot to mention thiese headlights still have all the motorised self leveling and adjustment as per the originals.

Ok, leave it with me. My neighbours think I'm weird enough anyway, taking pictures of my headlights in the dark !
I'll try and get you a full frontal, side, dipped and full beamed.
