Amazing! Do bear in mind that I've come from a Polo 1.4 SE so naturally I will be immediately impressed. Regardless, the car is great!

Really like the sound, steering is nice and sharp and the ride is surprisingly comfortable. It is only when you meet bumps, humps and potholes on the road do you realise the firmer suspension. The interior is much nicer than I had expected and everything feels fairly solid. I particularly like the look and feel of the GTI steering wheel however, the flat bottom does take a bit of getting used to when turning and can feel weird at times.

I have also found the boot to have shrunk by a considerable amount which I'm not too pleased about. Anyone have any ideas why the boot is much smaller than my previous Polo?

Apart from these, I am really enjoying the car and it just looks absolutely stunning. Have received a ton of compliments already. Will post some pics when I manage to find out how lol. Quite new to this forum thing so would greatly appreciate if someone could help on this :)

Glad you are pleased with the car! Is it manual or DSG? Reason for the boot space having 'shrunk' is because of the battery taking up the space in the lower 'tier'. I am guessing anyway that the battery is located here similar to the current 6R Polo (1.4).

Yep, battery is in the boot on the GTI as it helps with weight distribution and handling. It's a little annoying losing the space but it does make the car feel more serious, the fact that VW went to all that trouble in order to improve the overall dynamics on their flagship model ;)

Does anyone have the sport button fitted to one they have picked up? If so what's it like? Does it make a big difference?

One of the German reviewers in his detailed video said that the sport button is what turned it into a true racing car. There's no way for just £245 I was going to leave it off my option list. Just need to know if anyone has experienced the difference it makes to the car.
It has gone very quiet in here, don't reckon anyone has it fitted.
