What one did you get? (spec etc)Jamwllms wrote:I've never trusted the build week until the tracker says it's confirmed, since they seem to have a habit of changing.
Plus my car updated to "in transit" at the end of the build week, so it doesn't seem too far behind in my case.
Anyone currently waiting on a 6C factory order?

Re: Anyone currently waiting on a 6C factory order?
My BlueGT arrived in the UK today, will arrive at my dealer on Thursday, and will be ready for collection on Sunday. Sadly I am not available Sunday so I will have to grit my teeth until early week.
After an initial indication of 12 week waiting time, it will technically be available for collection one day below an 11 week waiting time. Pretty pleased with that!
The tracker has been very reliable throughout the process for me, which is unusual considering other peoples experiences. I got the text regarding it arriving in the UK, then my dealer emailed to tell me it had arrived today.
Less than a week to wait now!

Just been notified it's in the UK, hopefully delivery to the dealer won't take too long!

Re: Anyone currently waiting on a 6C factory order?
Website finally updated 6 weeks later haha, strange I didn't get a text yet the SMS alerts are set... End of May can't come quick enough
Re: Anyone currently waiting on a 6C factory order?
My SEL 1.2 TSI arrived at Sheerness 14 days ago and neither the dealer nor VW customer services can give me a date when it will be transported to the dealer. Best I can get is "by the end of this month". I know March is a busy month but, this time last year, my gf actually picked up her new Polo 7 days after it arrived at the port.
Anybody else with similar delays?

My 1.2 SE Design arrived in the UK on the 4th and I'll be picking it up tomorrow. It arrived at the dealer yesterday. Dealer said they've got fewer transporters available than last year...
Re: Anyone currently waiting on a 6C factory order?
Now just received a text saying that it has arrived in the UK (stage 6 of 7). Except they already sent me a text saying this 2 weeks ago! Not sure what's going on...Umiamz wrote:My SEL 1.2 TSI arrived at Sheerness 14 days ago and neither the dealer nor VW customer services can give me a date when it will be transported to the dealer. So, yesterday, the tracker went BACK a step to stage 5 of 7 (in transit). Later on I received a phone call from the dealer saying the car had arrived and I can collect on Tuesday. Tracker is still showing stage 5Umiamz wrote:Now just received a text saying that it has arrived in the UK (stage 6 of 7). Except they already sent me a text saying this 2 weeks ago! At last!
Had a text & dealer confirmation that my Blue Gt is in the UK. Hooray.
Original car ordered last week of September, so it's been a very loooong wait!
It will be quite unusual I think because it's silver, haven't seen many other silver ones.

Re: Anyone currently waiting on a 6C factory order?
My replacement BGT is due for delivery around mid/end of May and was ordered at the end of November - so roughly 26 weeks for delivery!tomtoon2015 wrote:Almost 6 months that's quite a wait!! Did they give you A reason??Fedupvw wrote:At last!

I was told the reason was due to the high specification (number of options), but I wonder whether it's down to the launch of the GTi and VW preferring to fulfill orders for that instead of of the BGT's?
Re: Anyone currently waiting on a 6C factory order?
Due to the complete lies the original dealer told me on delivery times and general total lack of any customer service I cancelled the original order ( service manager told me it was a " very challenging" delivery date that I was given, and when I couldn't pick it up in the month it finally arrived they got very shirty!
So re-ordered through Drive the Deal - so far ( touching wood!) it's been a pleasure dealing with the dealer in Kent who I ended up with. Got the car £1000 cheaper than original order even with adding xenons.
