Strange that need capacitors for DRLs, probably something that could be resolved by encoding.
However, I think once you have installed the wires for the front parking lights, you try the DRLs without capacitors again.

Question for you Mr ciclo polo god.
I have a 6R tdi with standard halogen headlights but i have a gti bcm
does that mean i have to buy OEM led xenons to make it work
or can i still buy aftermarket xenon and use wire adapters...but will they work on a gti bcm?

Hope you can confirm my coding... I retrofitted xenon as is it originally from factory. No 10-14 connector. Xenon headlight range sensor also mounted.

In the night, in Auto, high beam is working fine.
Could there be something in the "auto-light" codeing that does something to the DRL. I don't have fog lights anymore (have replaced the bumper with a WRC-edition so will never get it..)
Thanks
Re: Retrofitting OEM Xenon on a POLO 6R BlueMotion.
Hi all,
I'm new to here and I'm from Australia
Recently I've got the OEM xenon with a used BCM 090, I got the 10 to 14 pin cable from carsystem as well.
My question is:
Can I just use the used BCM to my car? The BCM is taken out from a polo 6r gti. If I can use, which wiring diagram from ciclo should I use?
If he used BCM can't fit my car, which BCM should I go for in order get the DRL working as well.
Thanks for help.

N should fix your little problem.

On the other hand you do not have active static cornering lights, I guess this is because you do not have well-connected the wires, regardless of whether you no longer have the fog lamps.
In your BlueMotion Polo, electric line (wires) for fog and static cornering lights is the same line, so you just have to connect in the right way (like in diagram) and codify correctly for they work perfectly in your new xenon OEM headlights.

About BCMs used to be reinstalled in a different car from original car there is very little information.
Many used BCMs (not all) need to be adapted to the new car by "qualified personnel". VW dealers do not make this adaptation with used BCMs.
The first thing you should do is try to install the BCM 090 in your car. (without installing xenon or cables)
You must transfer the old coding of your old BCM and GATEWAY to the new BCM.
Also match the car keys. http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.ph ... Adaptation
Now, the first symptom of the new BCM 090 does not work on your car is that it does not communicate with the instrument cluster.
Tell us the results.

Guess I'll have to connect a wire from SB57 to T73b/11 in order for the cornering lights to work. Should any coding be changed afterwards? Like enabling fog lights...

Hi ciclo,
I've tried to put the 090 bcm on my car but it is not working as i can't change the code on it. i think i need a new BCM for the xenon, so which one should i get (088/089/090) ? i've look at carsystem(087M Highline) and carsequipment (088F) but i dont know which one should i get for the xenon headlight.
It will be great if you can provide me more information about the version for the BCM and is there any website i can look for the BCM?
Thanks so much for your help.

Re: Retrofitting OEM Xenon on a POLO 6R BlueMotion.
The BCM installed for factory xenon headlights on the Polo 6R non-bluemotion (433 Mhz, Europe, Australia, Brazil, etc...) were:
First were the 089D
Then were the 089F
The following 090
The following 090A
The last for Polo 6R and the best of all them was 090B
There are also other models of BCM working at 315 Mhz for other markets.
The BCM 087 are not for xenon.
The BCM 088 are for bluemotion, this model requires the separate gateway. In Polo6R non-BlueMotion the gateway is integrated into the BCM.
The problem is that currently all bcm have specific parameters of each car, entered in the software and hardware depending on the equipment.
So when the bcm of second hand (used) are installed in a different car it is normal to malfunction.
So it is necessary to modify SW & HW (some parameters) for the specific vehicle where it will be installed.
The next problem is that VW dealers do not do this kind of work with used parts, neither if bcm is new but your car does not have xenon headlights from factory.
It is true that some people have installed BCM of second hand (used) and they had no problems, especially with the BCM 089. With 090 always have problems.
This is all I know about the BCM for Polo 6R. It is very summarized because there are more factors to consider, but do not matter if the SW & HW are modified in specialized workshops.

edit:
A user of this forum will attempt to adapt a BCM 090 in one of these specialized workshops in the coming weeks to install the xenon in his Polo 6R.
We will bring more information about this when possible.

anyone that is higher than 087 at the end (so 088 089 090) can work, but it depends on your car what bcm will work.

Hmm.. This is not very encouraging
Now I have bcm with 086 last numbers so wondering which I need to buy.. Are you sure that 088 will work with xenon? Here in this topic Ciclo was written that 089 and 090 support xenon and that with 090 have problems so...
