Info request: Alloys

Post by Ballyhoo »

I'm looking at alloys(new and 2nd hand) for my 9n Polo and wasn't sure what details to look for, I know I require the following:

-5 Stud and no larger than 17"

But what PCD do I need to look out for? as I've been informed golf alloys have a different stud pattern to my fitting. Oh and whats the best(wear and value) tyre brand to got for Yoko's?

Cheers! 8)

For tyres I personally think the bridgestones I currently have are top quality, plenty of grip and not too much road noise. The Yoko's will be expensive.

Yep, the bridgestones were standard. Mine is a 2002 model with the leather option pack and indigo blue met paint. There are a few other subtle differences. I have illuminated door lights, you have door reflectors, you also have the rear aero wiper plus the auto indicator function.

Yes, also, you get CD-Indash as standard on the sports model.

I thought it was fault when my indicator lights only stopped after a few seconds but it is an enhancement with auto indicators - cool! 8)

I like the new wipers!
