Have just seen for myself for the first time a new Polo GTI driving out of a car park. Was black/5 door, looked amazing. You people waiting are sure in for a treat!

Standard free paint colour is now Black (non-metallic).
Flash Red is now a £330 option.
App-Connect is now available (adds Apple CarPlay & Android Auto to existing MirrorLink compatibility) at £100.

Flash red now a cost option, how bizarre.
They'll be charging for steering wheel next.

Quite glad it's a cost option now as mine will no longer be in a poverty-spec colour!
Looking forward to photos of your red one when you pick it up :P

Has anyone specced the 'Serron' wheels yet? What do you guys think of them?

I haven't seen any live pictures of a GTI with Serrons, I love the Parabolicas so I didn't even bother looking.

The Parabolicas look even better in person.

There is a black DSG 3dr in the Listers Nuneaton showroom with them on. IMO they didn't look as good as the Parabolicas but still looked smart.

VW should have named the Serrons the 'diabolicals'

2 choices, Parabolicas and Diabolicals

Link to a GTI with them on here. While they look good on the BlueGT, I'm not so sure about them on the GTI.

Standard suspension is good. Only done town driving at the moment and briefly switched the sport button on to heard the engine note change etc. (I want peak traffic to lessen first then I can have more space on the roads later.)

No centre arm rest this time. I didn't spec it because it was standard kit on my 2010 model and I never used it.

Loving the needle sweep on start up. Liking the fact that many more settings are available through the infotainment system. On the settings screen you can say if you want the mirrors to fold when locking the doors with the remote.

Steering wheel feels great and the steering is more precise than previous model.

LED lights are smart in the new configuration, seem more bluey white this time. Can set them to come on in the dark and if the car detects rain.

My only disappointment so far is that on the previous model you could connect and hide the ipod in the glovebox . On this model the connection, as far as I can see, is via the USB in the compartment under the climatronic. Not so good.

All in all, brilliant car.
