Interior lights in front headlining

Post by hotrod30 »

Hi fellow Polo enthusiasts,

I've just traded in my Golf Gti Edition 30 for Polo R-line. I know it's a change in direction, however I needed an insurable car so I can teach my daughter to drive without bankrupting me. Also I'm loving the 50mpg I'm getting, about double that of the Ed30!

I'm finding my way around the car, but I have a query. Are the interior headlining light switches above the front seats illuminated? In the Golf they were, but not so in the Polo. Also no glovebox light, which seems a bit tight!

Please could you helpful Polo guys check to see if your buttons light up.

Thanks for your help.
Cheers, Steve

Definitely no glove box light in my car, but ciclo on here has details of how to retrofit one easily.

Do you mean are the switches for the overhead console/map lights illuminated?

If so, then not on mine they aren't.

It does seem a surprising omission, but then they are built to a price and a few € saved here and there on each vehicle is big money when you take the production run into account.
