MPG on a 2015 1.2 TSI Bluemotion?

I got my new polo yesterday, its a 15 plate 1.2 TSI Bluemotion and I love it but one thing I have noticed is the MPG, apparently it is meant to average around 60 MPG but at the moment after driving it all day it is only averaging 35.5 MPG, I think it might be due to the fact that it is brand new as it only had 14 miles on the clock this morning, but has anyone else had an experience with this and will it change?

Ours is a 2014 GT Blue 9000 miles on the clock and got 450 miles to the tank

Take it on some long runs and it'll go up... My average stayed at below 40MPG until I had driven about 390 Miles on my first tank on a BGT

I'm averaging 45.4 and it's not done 1000 miles yet

Thanks for the response mate! Took it on a run yesterday and it has gone up to 45 MPG from 35.5, it now has 180 miles on the clock and has drunk half a tank, got half a tank left and its saying 160 miles left on the range, so its not doing bad!

My 2015 SEL: 1.2TSi 110bhp, does roughly 400-450 miles on a full tank. I have 6300 on the clock at the minute.

I have clocked up around 3700 miles on my SEL 1.2 Tsi and i`m now averaging around the 50mpg mark without driving that conservatively.
It truly is a fantastic engine.

My wifes 1.2TSI 2015 polo averages about 45mpg for her, but she does short journeys for her job. When I borrow it so it can be cleaned at work I get 60 on my 99% motorway journey. The car has done 3700 miles for reference.

Mines got about 1800 miles on it. I get about 50mpg average but it is getting better. Great engine though, my last 3 cars had the 1.6 tdi, and the 1.2 tsi is just as quick. Not quite as much torque, but it hasn't struggled up any hills.

I drive an hour to work every day, about 70% time spent on highway and I get close to 55 mpg every day. I have a 1.2TSI just like you.
