Parcel shelf net

Post by grem »

Was looking into neat storage spaces for my polo and found out some golf models had a cargo net installed on the bottom of the parcel shelf, I thought this might be kinda useful.
I found some designed for a skoda but nothing for the polo, photo is below
Im not sure if this would even fit a polo parcel shelf but if so it would be great. I may do some measurements and look to either create my own or find one that fits. Was just wandering if anyone has done this themselves?

I've been looking into this also, since I saw Golfs have it. I guess the one for the Fabia might fit due to similar size, although it seems to be a "loop" which is wrapped around the entire shelf, with a net on the underside. This covers the top of the shelf, and that's not what I'm looking for. I guess if one could get one of the cargo nets made for the bottom of the boot (the ones with rubber bands with fastening hooks in the corners), then cut of the attachments of the net. Make small holes in the shelf and fix the net using the holes.

Looks good, but it would be difficult to fix the edges to the underside of the shelf without it showing through on the top. Please report back if you find a solution.

How about fixing the it to the inner underside lip of the parcel shelf?
Could use verlcro for a non permanent solution and it would still keep it hidden from view.
