Air conditioning fault

Hi, just wondering if anyone can help with an air conditioning fault. When I bought the car the air con worked fine, however now that we are experiencing our 4 weeks of British summer, it has now decided to do its best impression of a French port worker and go on strike, leaving me mildly inconvenienced and sweating profusely. I have regassed the system and found it to be leak free. when I push the AC button the compressor fails to cut in and neither do the cooling fans (or fan). I have checked the related fuses and the number 11 relay in the cabin and they all appear to be fine. I have also checked and cleaned the fuse board on top of the battery. I have got a steady 10.5 volts at the compressor plug no matter what fan speed I set it on. So to summarize, I'm stuck and not sure what to do next. Any help would be appreciated.

Could well have a faulty pressure switch so it's not registering there is refrigerant in

Either that or the compressor clutch solenoid is sticking

OK, when I'm testing the pressure sensor, what sort of figures should I be looking for?

Normally just a continuous circuit. Its an on or off output

Right, pressure sensor checks out fine and I'm getting sensible readings through VCDS. Spent a day at college with the help of a tutor and found one of the wires at the radiator temp. sensor plug had corroded and broken and a bad earthing point, repaired both of these. Having a look by myself tonight and the drivers side radiator fan is completely inoperative, would this be enough to tell the FCM not to engage the compressor?

If the fan isn't working it could be enough to stop it as that's required for air con operation or the condenser can't fool

Cool, i thought that could be a possibility, will have to wait until tomorrow to get some resistance readings from across the fan, hopefully it will be a break in one of the wires.
