Hah, I know your pain, bro. It's exactly the same for me, but somehow I cannot get rid off the Polo desktop wallpapers at home and work :P Mid October is so far away...
Good idea! Sorted my phone out...

That looks amazing! How do I do that!? Lol

Picked mine up eariler, will get on the laptop later an upload some pictures. Even though all the he pictures I've seen on here that people have posted, they don't do the car justice when viewing it in the metal! Absolutely stunning car. Really happy with the service I got from wirral volkswagen. J only gripe is I used half a tank of petrol to get home!

It's quite easy, I have an Android phone with the Google Now launcher. Just set that image to the background, and the clock is a free widget called Chronus which you can find on the Play store, allows you to change the clock colour. Then just arranged my icons around the photo.

Keen to see the photos of yours when you get chance

Got a nice surprise today with a video email from my dealer to confirm that my GTI had arrived! Still in its wrappings but nonetheless looking very good and can't wait to get my hands on it! Over all reasonably quick since putting my order in late June and about the same delivery time had I gone for the Fiesta ST. Spec is 5 door in red, manual with the parking and convenience pack.

That sounds very quick, especially for a 5dr. Surely it was already on its way for a 2 month turnaround?

I agree it's quick but I'm pretty sure it was built to order. I think the dealer was surprised as he originally quoted October. Also they have another customer who ordered in April (different spec to mine) whose car hasn't arrived yet. Very strange but I'm certainly not complaining!

Convenience and parking packs. Manual 5 door. Didn't go for the sport button so hope I'm not missing out too much. Going to pick the car up after 1 September for the new reg. Not sure if I want it sitting in the showroom but we'll see. Will get to see it on Saturday to sign the paperwork. Excited like as if I were a kiddie getting his new bike for his birthday!

Lucky lucky man. I ordered mine at the start of July and I'll be waiting until the end of November

From my extensive reading in anticipation it would seem that those that don't choose the sports pack get their car 3-4 weeks sooner than those who do choose it, as for the other options obviously dsg and 5 door appear to add a fair bit of time too. But the rest I'm unsure, I imagine a lot of it has to do with the build slots available at your dealer as they're allocated a fixed number per quarter.
