Panoramic Sunroof
Hi new to the forum put a deposit down on a Polo gti. Wanted a little advise as to what people think/have experienced with the panoramic sunroofs. Read about some horror stories about them just exploding out is some cases and the drains system leaking/becoming blocked and leaking through the headliner. Also that insurance no longer covers them under windscreen cover so it goes down as a claim.
Any advise would be brill
Cheers

Re: Panoramic Sunroof
Never had a problem with mine (2012 6R GTi), and they look awesome on a white car, really adds contrast to the looks. I guess if you stay on top of cleaning, making sure the drainage is clear, then there should be no issues.

Does the sunroof affect cabin noise at all? Any rattles etc?

Re: Panoramic Sunroof
No problem with mine, I love it. I also have heated seats and always use one or the other when driving, depending on the season/weather. The only thing to remember is that, despite its name, it most definitely is not panoramic. It looks like it from the outside, but inside you just get the 'old' letterbox cut-out.

Never had an issue with mine and it's lovely, it takes about an inch of the height of the headlining in the front seats but when open its awesome.

An inch ohhh that may change things I'm about 6'2, might be a bit close for comfort. Need to see if I can find a polo with sunroof to test! Thanks for your feedback

I'm 6' 2" as well and its noticeably lower than in my older polo but can certainly fit into it with ease.

Re: Panoramic Sunroof
Am I going mad? The recessed nature of the sunroof gives me more headroom rather than less.
