Re: New GTI
Wouldn't take too much notice of provisional build weeks, I was originally told 23, its confirmed build week of 37 now lol
Re: New GTI
Can I just ask the lucky folk that have had their GTi delivered what was their waiting time post build to delivery? Are we looking at another 4 weeks?
Thanks
Thanks

Re: New GTI
Mine was notified as having left the factory in Spain on the 5th May, it then arrived in the UK on the 13th and left to go to my dealer in the Midlands on the 16th. They then did all the PDI checks and we arranged for it to be delivered to my house on the 29th. So 24 days in total.Rascal wrote:Can I just ask the lucky folk that have had their GTi delivered what was their waiting time post build to delivery? Are we looking at another 4 weeks?

Re: New GTI
Hey all,
Well I collected mine last Sunday and have had such a fun week driving it around, so impressed with it! Amazing to drive and pulls well in all 6 gears, lovely cabin to spend time in both day time and night driving and it looks freaking awesome especially love the headlights - they are so bright and menacing to look at...anyway I'll just say to all you people waiting and and have ordered you're in for a real treat
my wait was definitely worth while!
Loving the acceleration and exhaust notes, media system is incredible too, can't think of any negatives yet!
Anyway here's a few photo's as promised:

Re: New GTI
I'm also eagerly awaiting delivery of a new 2016 GTI, due to be built this next week!
I only ordered a month ago, but managed to find one that was already on order by a dealer (albeit one 250 miles from home!), so managed to jump the queue a bit.
It was very close to the spec I would have ordered; 3 door in white, with cruise/park, light & sight, and sports button. Probably the most essential way to spend around £1k on options.
Given a clean sheet I would have added the camera for the additional £25 (why do they offer both the parking and cruise/park parks? - seems crazy to go for the cruise/park when you can get all that and the reverse camera for only another £25!)
Probably also the winter pack. In time I'm sure I'd wished I'd also gone for the SatNav and Climate, but where do you stop???!!!
I'm hoping I can get the dealer to activate the mirror link or whatever so I can use nav from the phone, or I may invest in one of those Kenwood/Garmin retrofit nav modules in time.
I was keeping my fingers crossed that it may have been built a week early than stated, but it seems not. Hopefully no more than about 29 sleeps now!

Re: New GTI
Hi all,
Just joined and have been reading the 70 odd pages of posts...slightly addictive!!
I've recently ordered a new GTI and was being patient, but since going through everyones pictures and posts makes me want it now!
Quick question, what do people thing of the VW fixed service plans etc, is it good value? anyone took it out? I will only be doing around 10k per year.
Cheers
