Just looking at Bluemotions and want to clarify something...? My regular mechanic was not around and VW gave a very wishey washey response....
In terms of the 1.4tdi bluemotions, do they have what I would call a "regular" EGR valve with a DPF in the exhaust OR is it a software/computer controlled thing thats going to cost >£1500 WHEN (not if) it goes belly up....?
I have had a B5.5 passat and it was like a 15 min job to unbolt the EGR and swap it and now have a T5 with the same set up....whereas later >2010 T5s have a computer controlled DPF etc that costs......
Grateful for any feedback ref the complexity of the bluemotion TDIs, else I will just look for an old Mk5 polo thats old school in terms of kit.....
