I've just had my 57-plate Honda Civic resprayed as the lacquer was peeling. It cost about £150/panel so you're looking at well over £1000 sorry...afk wrote:Thanks for the responses guys! It really is sad that things like this happens. Funnily yes i do live in london and park on the street...I'll def look into getting a camera.
Anyone have a ballpark figure of how much a respray would cost? I'm assuming I'll need a full respray so that all body panels are matching?

Hey all,
Anyone with a 2015 Polo GTI got the CarPlay feature working with his multimedia system?
Heard it only works in later manufactured cars (after week 22) with multimedia systems which are MIB II, and wondered if Polos got this feature too

Re: New GTI
Hi All
Found this forum as I'm seriously thinking of going for a Polo GTI as my next car. Have been looking through this topic (although I admit not all 82 pages!) and can see some people have been waiting a long time for their new cars.
I don't have a problem with this as I would rather change next year when the plate changes to 16, so nearly 6 months, but is the wait list now this long anyway or a bit shorter? Anyone ordered recently and been told how long they got to wait? I need to get sell my current car first but I want to wait a few months before doing that. I just don't want to order a new Polo in December or January and be told the wait is until June/July next year so I should have ordered sooner.

Re: New GTI
The official lead times are 3 months for 3dr cars and 5 months for 5dr cars, they also suggest that DSG gearboxes can take a bit longer, but they are all taken with a pinch of salt.the_bakerboy3685 wrote:Hi All

I'm sure some people who's cars were ready in August waited and got them registered on the 65 plates so maybe if you ordered now and it was delivered sooner you could postpone is being registered until the 16 plates.

Oh right, since I want a 5 door and DSG could well be a wait until well into next year then.duffman wrote:The official lead times are 3 months for 3dr cars and 5 months for 5dr cars, they also suggest that DSG gearboxes can take a bit longer, but they are all taken with a pinch of salt.the_bakerboy3685 wrote:Hi All

It seems like it doesnt it! I don't know whether the supply issues are just for the GTI or for all their cars?the_bakerboy3685 wrote:Oh right since I want a 5 door and DSG could well be a wait well into next year then.duffman wrote:The official lead times are 3 months for 3dr cars and 5 months for 5dr cars, they also suggest that DSG gearboxes can take a bit longer, but they are all taken with a pinch of salt.the_bakerboy3685 wrote:Hi All

I've got a provisional build date of first week October so delivery should be approx 3 months from when I ordered it (3dr manual), so that's about normal but since it's only provisional, time will tell if they can stick to that.
I'd have a word with your dealer and see what they say.

Hey polocks, and thanks duffman for the heads up!
I wanted to know when did you order the car, and when did you get it. (I understood that MIB II was installed on AFTER 22 week cars and on)
Moreover, was Android Auto / Car Play enabled/activated right after you got the car? or you had to ask the dealer to activate it?
Thanks ahead

I ordered on 18th of March 2015 and took delivery 10th July.
They both came ready to plug and play, First thing I did was connected my phone and after the initial setup of about 30 seconds was up and running for carplay.
My understanding is that it is only MIB2 units that have it.

Lovely wee car and the Oryx White is a stunning colour.

In the flesh it's stunning. Lots of flake in the paint. Changes between silver, gold, light blue and white depending on the sun light. Impossible to photograph though.Mikeyander5on wrote:How much of a difference is the oryx to the standard? I have an A3 saloon in Glacier White (Metallic) and the Oryx is a far nicer colour.
