Re: New GTI
Cheers will take a look. Anyone with this week as their confirmed build week heard if it gone ahead, I've heard nothing lol
Re: New GTI
I've seen a silk blue on the roads around me. Looks very smart and the red striping on the grill really stands out because of it.

Re: New GTI
Cheers for that - very interesting! I have to say I bought mine because it was small and nimble around town for the Mrs to drive and it blows the Golf out of the water on that score. I have however had to keep my '57 Civic 2.2 turbodiesel for load lugging, so if I was only going to have one car to do everything I would probably move up a size to the Golf. The beauty is that I've got the option - and I prefer the two car approach as the Polo just has the most amazing feeling of being 'right' in terms of size on the road to nip into gaps when overtaking and gaps when parking.m0rrthal wrote:You guys might find this an interesting comparison.

Re: New GTI
Ordered my GTI last week and dealer gave a provisional build week of 46. Tweeted VW today and they've given provisional week 41. To be taken with a pinch of salt obviously but hopefully won't have to wait as long as expected.

Re: New GTI
Ive still got week 41 provisional too, rung VW each Friday for the past 3 weeks and still on week 41 so not slipped yet. How long before the actual build week should it get confirmed?

My build status has changed today.Changed from build week confirmed,to In transit today.
Re: New GTI
Picking mine up at the very start of October, literally counting down the days now, no doubt be the slowest 3 weeks going. Everyones pictures and impressions seem very good so far

Re: New GTI
It will be worth the wait. Had mine for a week now and loving it. For me it's transported me back over 20 years to my Golf Mark 2 days but only better!

I'm debating whether I should get the adaptive (sport) dampers, did you get them in yours?
if you did, how is the "normal" mode compared to the "sport" ?
is the "normal" mode stiff" or comfy?
Are you satisfied from the driving?

Re: New GTI
Mine doesn't have the sport button. The set up is half way between normal and sport so quite firm but not harsh. Where I live the roads are quite bad so the sport button would make the ride too bouncy and I know another GTI owner in Norfolk never uses it for that reason. However if you have good roads where you are I would have it and for such a relatively small price why not! Now the sad bit. A picture of the Mark 2 Golf I once owned.

Re: New GTI
Cracking pic m8, on a separate subject i know it covered elsewhere on this forum im pondering which SD card size to get. Currently have a 32gb usb plugged into my Fiesta but like the idea of the SD as out of sight in the glove box.
