Ordered mine last week and got a confirmed build week today. Bit confused though as email from VW says WC 12/10 but website says WC 5/10.

Exactly same here, email says 12/10 website says 5/10. You've done well if you only ordered last week though

Ordered my GTI last week and dealer gave a provisional build week of 46. Tweeted VW today and they've given provisional week 41. To be taken with a pinch of salt obviously but hopefully won't have to wait as long as expected.

Pavel, how did you manage to get in contact with them on twitter? Did you tweet '@UKVolkswagen'? Id like to contact them this way myself seems to work better!

You can always just ring the customer services number and ask them, very easy quick call I've done that a few times now

Ordered 3 door, pearl black, alcantara seats, convenience pack and arm rest. Surprised by the speed myself!

And re: Twitter, I just tweeted the VW UK account with my order number.

Could someone who has had their GTI delivered do me a favour? I see on the VW website you can get a digital version of the manual if you enter your reg or VIN. I've tried putting a reg from one of the pictures posted on this thread in but it didn't work. Could anyone put theirs in and post a link? Wouldn't mind having a read while I wait!

Finally collecting on Thursday- just confirmed my car arrived at the dealer today!

For those of you still keeping track of their orders etc- that will be precisley 5 months, order to delivery. And just shy of a month from confirmed build date to delivery (inclusive of car sitting in port for 3 days both sides, so if you are lucky that will be less).
