The VW Tracker sent me an email this morning telling me that I have a build date of 23 November. The excitement keeps building :-)

Ordered:

Polo GTi DSG
Blue Silk
Sports performance kit with dynamic chassis
Parking pack with rear view camera
Curtain Airbag system
Front centre armrest
Electrically foldable Door mirrors
Car-Net App Connect

I ordered from Listers at Nuneaton through Carwow with free delivery. In view of the distance from Nuneaton to Essex they will delivery on a trailer at no extra charge. An excellent service and a great price

Re the creaking door, quickly cleaned top felt like rubber on door with dry microfibre. Noise is gone, must b what people are saying in that wax or even shampoo gets on rubbers an makes em creak. Will apply Gummi Pfledge when arrives and give all rubbers an inside of doors good clean to free em of wax residue. Couple of pics of 2 small purchases off ebay, dust caps and a jelly key case as my let's swing from my belt all day ay work an get knocked.ImageImage

Thought it made it look better than the plain key, with the red stripe an honeycomb pattern, plus it protects it too. Cheap enough

After first short one hour trip, mostly on motorway :D I just cannot say how much I love this car :D The manual gearbox is magnificent and you really don't need to worry about proper shifting, the power is almost in the whole rev range :D

I was previously driving a 2000 Polo 6N2 without any equipment at all (everything was manual) and the change is like in "Back to the future" :D And don't even ask about the LED headlights :D

Spec:
- 5 door manual in Blue Silk
- sunroof
- LED headlights
- front armrest
- electronic climate control
- electronically foldable mirrors
- cruise and park pack
- Composition Media
- Light and Sight pack
- tinted rear windows

Picked mine up today. Everything is just perfect - 200 miles drive back and it's the first time in years I've had a smile on my face whilst driving.

Traffic jams, congestion didn't bother me as it was more time I could fiddle with the controls and gadgets :D then when the dual carriage ways and motorways opened up I dipped my right foot and wow... It is an angry beast

When in traffic i noticed quite a few people taking a look - trying to figure out what car it was. For those who are waiting, you won't be disappointed. She's in my garage now think I'll be up early to take for a morning spin. :o

Only negative is I've noticed a stone chip already in the bonnet - might be a touch up kit and trip to halfords. I asked my dealer about the Gti key fobs and he put them on free of charge. I've taken some pics but not sure how to upload them.

Go to your dealer and get a genuine touch up. Nothing beats the colour and finish of the VW touch up sticks.

Ordered my Gti couple weeks ago got build date of 9/11/15 and dealer told me to expect before Christmas !!!

Manual Gti 5 door blue silk
Convenience pack (auto lights, auto mirror dim, folding mirrors etc)
Winter pack (heated seats, heated washer jets, heated mirrors, heated headlight washers)
App connect ( iPhone mirroring, free sat nav ;) with maps app)
Sun roof
Sports pack (dynamic chassis control, throttle response, exhaust noise in car)
Found that arm rest got in the way when using gear stick so left that out in the end
And my parking is good so didn't need camera
Oh and last minute ditch of the cruise pack as I don't do much long distance and bought this beast to drive myself lol

Excellent. Enjoy your great new car. Nothing like waking up and realising that you have a new car outside. :)
The tapatalk app on your phone or tablet is an easier way to upload pics to this forum.
