my POLO door is locked. :(

Sorry if this is the incorrect thread.

I have a VW POLO 1.4 year 2003.

I locked my car door inadvertently and I am at a loss as to how I can unlock it again.
Initially I have a problem with the passenger door window. The motor/mechanism for puling up and down the window broke so couldn’t close it. Luckily had a place to keep it overnight with the window open.

I took the car to the VW garage and was shocked at the figure he quotes to fix it. So decided to open the door push the window up and keep it that way until I come up with something to fix it. A day later opened the inside door cover, but there was a steal layer which I couldn’t remove to give me access to the whole mechanism to see how I can fix it etc… at the end I only managed to lift the window up removed the black box with the cable connecters which control the window and push the window up. In haste I forgot to connect the cable with the hook which allows you to open the door from inside. Oblivious to this I close the door with the key (central lock), and after couldn’t open the flipping door. I checked to see if there is anyway I can open the door from the inside but no luck, everything is sealed from inside and outside.

Anyway thought on this will be very much appreciated at least to unlock and open the door. Fixing the window now isn’t one of my worries.
Checked youtube but couldn’t find anything.
