i think quite a few of us had the tracker and e-mail dates a week different, but pretty sure the earlier, tracker date should be correct.SRGTD wrote:Tracker for my order has moved to stage 3; build week confirmed. Tracker shows build week commencing 7/12/15 but the e-mail I've received shows 14/12/15. Whichever is correct, looks like an end of Jan/beginning of Feb delivery, or should I wait until March for a 16 plate? Decisions..............

Re: New GTI
Just got my car out of the garage no problems. Closed garage door got back into the car and the ignition was dead with the park pilot button bleeping and flashing. Electrics had gone on many things. The car wasn't going anywhere. Gave the car a few minutes and all seemed fine again. For the time being I've shoved it back in the garage. Just booked it in at vw to check everything and to sort that speaker pop and fade issue.

Re: New GTI
Had you left the car running? I wonder if having the car door open and perhaps having the garage door activate the park pilot while you were closing it might have caused the car electronics to be confused?JohnPolo wrote:Just got my car out of the garage no problems. I hope it's something simple - faulty electrics are my biggest nightmare on new cars!

I questioned this when the dealer called me on Tuesday and he said the website is rightduffman wrote: i think quite a few of us had the tracker and e-mail dates a week different, but pretty sure the earlier, tracker date should be correct.

No I didn't leave the car running. Oh well I'll keep my vw breakdown card on me just in case.

Re: New GTI
Gave mine a well overdue clean today shifting 3 weeks of muck. I'm surprised how well the Flash Red hides the dirt to be honest. Find the wheels being black inside don't show the dirt too much which is good as are a nightmare to clean lol
Re: New GTI
Folks do any off you have a very high pitched squeak at very low speeds?? Comes an go's .. And I'm not breaking just at slow speeds.. ???
Also is there much boost in 2nd gear as it feels as if I have none , then change to 3rd and it flys ....??
Thanks

No high pitch squeak although I am getting a squeaking from the driver's door sill. I don't tend to rev hard from second but rather from third or fourth which is fine. Had a long motorway drive today followed by a blast on some winding country roads - very good!

3rd and 4th you can feel the turbo pulling along , it's 2nd feels like there is no turbo at all.. Very strange [emoji52]
Has any one else noticed 2nd gear has very little boost???

Re: New GTI
I initially thought the same, but only really pushed the pedal down in 3rd & 4th. I had a clear stretch of road in 2nd - revs around 3.5 then floored it. There is boost there, but normally I've already changed up in to 3rd normally... Makes me smile when you floor it and the suggested gear indicator in the MFD goes 3 to 5 gearrm55mcc wrote:Folks do any off you have a very high pitched squeak at very low speeds?? Comes an go's .. Re: New GTI
anyone use Spotify on their gti yet? my 6r only comes up showing 'aux' on the screen due to no bluetooth however I've gone for the DAB/NAV upgrade in my 6c so will this allow for bluetooth calling/connectivity along with Spotify or would you recommend adding the AppNet also for music?

Re: New GTI
the standard headunit will work with spotify on your phone via bluetooth (no album art) and via usb (with album art).Willoughbyyy wrote:anyone use Spotify on their gti yet? my 6r only comes up showing 'aux' on the screen due to no bluetooth however I've gone for the DAB/NAV upgrade in my 6c so will this allow for bluetooth calling/connectivity along with Spotify or would you recommend adding the AppNet also for music?
using appconnect with my phone you can put spotify directly onto the head unit instead of through the phone via cable only.

Re: New GTI
