Will 17" wheels kill the GTI?? i'm looking at getting a set of BBS RC's in 17X7.5. what do you think? i was going to go for 16" but you carn't get them

well apart from very lightweight wheels (eg. OZ superleggeras) it will slow down your car, ull need arch modz as well cus 17s will catch. width wise, i wouldnt go for 7.5. i would recommend 7, max.

go for a set of 16s, they fit the car perfectly

Dubpolo,

I've got 17's on mine and i've never looked back, there was a slight rubbing on full lock but a cut at some of the plastic sorted that.

Now that it's lowered it is fine no worse off!!

Chris, i saw ur GTi parked on the hill like half an hour ago. how much is it lowered by? it looks very neat. and how often do u clean ur wheels? they are always shiny clean!

The cars lowered by 30mm and thats it just done so hopefully will look a little lower once it's settled.

The car looks crap dirty so i try to wash it 1-2 times a week weather permiting.
