The options for programming it directly are:
(3)-Access control-automatisches Verriegeln bei Geschwindigkeit
(4)-Access control-automatisches Entriegeln
and for enabling the menu:
(18)-Access control-Menuesteuerung ZV Autolock-Unlock
I have followed the above guide using my VCDS, when I try and change it so that either the auto locking is activated (as per 3 & 4) or to try and enable in the cars menus (as per 18), it asks if i want to confirm the change, i click OK, it then comes up with an error saying '' Security access code required'' - can anyone explain this to me please? What is the code meant to be? Havent seen it ask for this before. Also if anyone can please help me to enable the auto-locking I would really appreciate it.
Thanks in advance for any advice.

Re: 6C auto door locking
The security access code for Central Electronics should be 31347

Re: 6C auto door locking
That is correct it seems for most BCMs across the VAG range.
One other thing, after "signing in" - it needs to be done in the order listed on this forum, and making the changes, when you go to SAVE, you will get presented with a VCDS dialog window, it is asking you about what to log in some fields, IMPORTER + WORKSHOP + SOMETHING ELSE, VCDS suggests that you click on "YES" - I did that then later tried to work out what might have happened, it was okay as all these fields on the BCMs memory map remained the same as they had originally been. The other options are "NO" and "CANCEL" .
Has anyone else got any comments to make of which option to select - and why, please out of interest and also to prepare other VCDS users for seeing this dialog box - I for one was not prepared for that.
Edit:- this is what you need to do in this order > select "09-Central Elect" once that screen has opened > select "Security Access-16" > enter 31347 in the empty code field > select "Do It" > now select "Adaption" then the options that you want to change etc etc .
