Build in progress but dealer told me that's not true due to Christmas and it's not even started yet

Not only that been told lies on the times, trackers etc since day one.. been waiting since October, well infact before October as i waited two months for them to find me one to test drive  and after spending £550 on garage labour to make my 6r standard quickly for them in time for the new car it gets delayed

maybe i am impatient but i don't have a car thats driveable until the new one gets here :(

Could ask if they'll give you a courtesy car while you're waiting?

That's what I'm trying to do hopefully they'll let me..
I wouldn't mind if it wasn't the fact i've been waiting so long already as well as the 2 month wait for a test drive its becoming a very long process. Plus used ones are appearing now for even as low as £16k

Finally got an order number. Felt like it was an episode of hustle where they have taken over VW on a Sunday and sold people fake cars

Any Scottish owners got time from shipping to being ready at dealer?

I'm going to assume that if they're Scottish but live in Devon that's not what you're getting at? ;)

We got a wise guy over here [emoji12]
Aye, anyone who has ordered a car from a Scottish dealer?
Or even more specifically anyone who has ordered one that has landed on the port of Tyne ;)

Got the text to say it was in transit on 28/11 was there on the 11/12. I could have had it earlier but wanted to get it in daylight so waited til the weekend.

Any news yet?

Test drove the sirocco r at Grimsby as a back up incase I cancel my order but they've said they will carry over my deposit so very tempting now! But it's abit out of my price range especially insurance so I guess I'll be waiting for now. The manager has a polo Gti and has said he'd let me borrow it if VW insure me so hopefully they'll sort that for me this week!

Your dealer should know, them once you have the name go on Ship AIS or Marine Traffic. I think there's City of Sunderland and City of Barcelona? Maybe another too.

I wasn't bothered for 2 reasons - I have to use those sites every day at work lol and since I was picking up from Grimsby it would have wound me up if it I knew was sat on the docks for days instead of the dealer a few hundred yards away.

I'll not get too stressed over it. If they land in Sunderland I'll still have to wait for it being loaded onto a lorry, driven to Cairnryan, another boat trip, followed by a quick run to my dealer.

Hmm decisions, nice car but like you say a bit more than the Polo.

My fella just popped to VW in Scunny to get me some screenwash and said they've got a white GTI in.
