Test drove the sirocco r at Grimsby as a back up incase I cancel my order but they've said they will carry over my deposit so very tempting now! But it's abit out of my price range especially insurance so I guess I'll be waiting for now. The manager has a polo Gti and has said he'd let me borrow it if VW insure me so hopefully they'll sort that for me this week!

Hmm decisions, nice car but like you say a bit more than the Polo.

My fella just popped to VW in Scunny to get me some screenwash and said they've got a white GTI in.
Gone for the scirocco.. Pick it up tomorrow!!

PICS!! Do like the Rocs, OH had one in Rising Blue just a 140 diesel though, was a great car but visibility was a b***h :lol:

Hopefully pick it up tomorrow anyway, however they've said the finance might not go through in time.. It's the latest 2l petrol 280bhp :twisted:

Picked it up today absolutely love it! 0-60 doesn't feel much faster than the polo but beyond that it just pulls without any effort at all :D

Ask your dealer what ship it's on then go on Marine Traffic or Ships AIS website.

Just for reference the 5 door Polo is built in South Africa so it does take a while longer to arrive than the 3 door. The 3 door is built in Deutschland so it's got less transport time etc so you'll get them quicker. :idea:

I thought Polos were built in either South Africa or Spain and if it's a GTI, it's built in Spain, whether it's a 3 door or 5 door. 11th digit in the VIN code indicates country of manufacture;

U; South Africa.
Y; Spain.
