Re: New GTI
There are clearly massive discrepancies depending on the dealer and what you order.
I ordered mine on the 8th January and it arrived Monday 22nd February so in total it took 45 days from start to finish. Mine was a 5 door manual with winter pack, light and sight and park and cruise.
Looking at the threads on here for waiting times. If you've ordered a manual, 3 or 5 door then unless you've ordered right at the beginning of a new build schedule at VW you'll wait about 2 months or less.
If you've ordered a DSG with the Sports Button and sunroof and even if like me you were lucky enough to find a dealership with a free allocation you would have to wait at least 4 months unless by chance a slot with a similar build requirement became free.
Worth the wait though I wish dealerships would declare what build slots they have as a lot of the ones I spoke to weren't prepared to tell me as they knew it would result in longer lead times.

I ordered mine on 9th January.
Mine is a DSG with Sport Button plus Winter Pack, Parking Pack, Discovery Navigation, Convenience Pack. No sunroof though.

Lucky you! Mine was build week 22/2 also, no movement on mine yet, fingers crossed it maybe updates by the end of the day haha!the_bakerboy3685 wrote:I've gone to 5a (in transit left factory) so has skipped Stage 4.Wilxay wrote:Yeah still the same
Didn't expect it to be that quick, not sure how long it will be now, but my dealer has been so over cautious with dates it seems.

Re: New GTI
I am genuinely surprised, I was expecting it to still be on Stage 3 on Sunday as I bemoan the VW tracker!Bigfish99 wrote:Lucky you! I wouldn't be surprised if yours and others go to stage 5a soon as well as I think I read somewhere earlier on this thread how someones did the same thing.
Re: New GTI
I ordered 20th January so I think I was lucky to get build week 22nd. Hopefully mine will jump to stage 5 lol

Any pics or reviews of springs on the gti?
H&r seem to be the only brand but has anyone fitted the low springs yet?

I work in shipping so I know how long it can take sometimes for cars to be shipped especially if there is a back log.
I know the company that runs the vessels these are shipped on but not sure of the port they load from, my guess would be Santander as the ships call here and it is the closest to the factory. Either that or it is Setubal in Portugal.

Any info you can find out is a massive bonus!the_bakerboy3685 wrote:
