Welcome to the waiting club! Mine has been on stage 5a since 24th so seems I may have to wait longer for it to arrive if yours has been on that since the 17th! Unless the VW Tracker has not been updated.

Don't think many people go for Silver so I think it will look quite unique on the GTI. I'm waiting for a Red 5dr DSG.

Just popped in to VW they've ordered the new dash bit to sort the sticking reset button.

Have just tried my dash reset button for the first time and yep it's just gone straight in and isn't coming back out.. Call to VW now then!

Looks like the Polo GTI comes with a Sticking Trip Reset Button as one the standard features, not very good :( .

Sounds like a fix that needs doing before I even get it!

I was the first one they've heard of at Grimsby VW but they said VW are aware so it must be common.

My brother got a 1l Polo just before me and has done similar miles, I asked if he'd had the problem. "Oh I don't bother resetting it"

So why do the buttons stick then, anybody know?

I haven't pressed mine yet, and frankly I'm scared to do so

Just push it gently in the bottom right corner and it won't stick [emoji106][emoji106]

I have just had my dash changed for the sticking Trip button seems ok now but the rear brakes still make squeaks which I have been back twice so it will need to be back at the garage. Has anyone had any look with this issue and had it fixed. I saw a white one last week on the Isle of Wight not many over here yet.

 My brakes are a bit 'noisy' but they work that's the main thing! Still can't fault the car after six months of ownership. All of you waiting for yours should not be disappointed imho.

My brakes are silent now. Squeaking stopped at around 1500 miles

I've been ringing my dealer every chance I got today trying to find out if my car is in the UK now because I want to pick my own plate. Quite a few possibilities with it being a 16 plate now.

On another note, isn't it really annoying when the person you deal with at Volkswagen takes their day off.

My brakes have never squeaked but I've recently noticed the rears stick on occasionally when moving from stop. Not sure if handbrake or discs doing this but they can 'growl' a little when first moving off.

Otherwise they are incredibly reassuring and powerful. Causes me some problems getting in other cars because they take longer to stop!

Overall it's still a smile-inducing machine at just over 9 months and 7500 miles, and makes me feel 25 years younger again in the hooligan it occasionally provokes in me.

Yeah I'm still stuck on transit stage 5a so not even been told it's shipped yet.
