That's not bad going for a custom jobby. Let me know once you have pics or vid's of it.
Have made a quick video - it was filmed on an iPhone so audio isn't amazing.. It sounds much deeper in person but yeah gives an idea!

Sounds nice mate. Is it a dsg box? Have you tested it at steady speed, does it drone at all?
Nope manual. As it's non resonated it does drone a little if you're accelerating at speed but if you're just cruising it isn't an issue.

Sadly not, has a nice deep burble to it on idle but no noticeable pops and bangs so far.

Sorry only seeing this now.

Lowers it 35/45

Order through a guy on rms who works for Euro car parts and gets discount[/quote

You think that will give it a good drop with out any rubbing??
It'll be low enough for everyday driving. Gonna let it settle then space it

It does sounds lovely but not sure I could live with the droning. My old 172 used to drone and that got really tiresome after a while. Need that noise when your revving it though that sounds awesome! Mmm will have a think. Where abouts are you if you went to Watford to have it done?

Yeah I had a Milltek exhaust on my old Cooper S and that used to drone quite a lot but to be honest it didn't really bother me too much..

I'm in Guildford. If you're close by I'm happy to take you out in it or meet up if you want to hear it in person :)

Progress this morning in the form of a build date - week commencing 18th April. Still a long wait but at least I know now

Little update. Free gift from the local dealer. Genuine golf gti performance pack red badges :)

Any idea how they got the front badge on? My dealer is saying they can't fit it on as a straight swap because the clips are designed for a golf grill and not the polo. I have the badge in my hand and it is a slightly different design

I have ordered the badgeskins from america, they are red vinyl stickers that go on over the logos http://www.badgeskins.com/store/p73/POL ... eskin.html they only took a few days to arrive.

Also good news today, despite my build date commencing on the 28th of March I have had the text to say my car has already progressed to 5a and left the factory, a nice surprise to have it built before the confirmed build week :D

Hopefully I should be able to pick it up in the last week of April

Hmm no clue tbh maybe just used the original polo bracket but just swapped over the letters and then added fresh adhesive foam? Because they did leave some adhesive foam excess on mine that I had to trim back :)

Maybe that's what I will have to do then. They said that would be the only way but it's not an 'approved Volkswagen method'

The foam adhesive is quite thin so I want to find the right stuff

This is just a few I've taken after the paint has been 'rectified' by the dealer. Will be interesting to see what they do next

My worry would be the more they try and rectify it, the more clearcoat they will keep polishing off and still not get it right. A decent detailer would be able to use a single stage polish with a machine and get it looking great, you could even do it yourself with a DA much better than they could ever do it.

Anyone know if the gti's are shipped from santander or sometimes transported to setubal first? Trying to keep a look out on marine traffic. Cheers
