HELP!! Problem with VW Bluetooth Handsfree Kit - TPK Music

Hello everyone

I am pulling my hair out!! I have recently purchased this Polo our love affair was going great until 1 day on handsfree kit an error message populated '' Information please insert USB Pendrive containing the recovery file to Install the main system''

Has anyone had a similar problem/know of anyway round it?

Any help would be much appeciated, so my little polo can be perfect again!

I would advise speaking to Bury, Its a CC9060 kit underneath

They should be able to provide a recovery file

however, to load it you need a USB cable which doesnt come with the car

You might need to speak to Bury/your local VW dealer on this one.

What type of USB would I need, would it be something I could do myself?

Any idea what VW would charge? I called them and they wanted £100.00 just to look at it its just come out of warranty too!

My problem is all fixed now
My Polo is now Perfect again...

Emailed bury.

This lead is required (000051905) which I purchased on Ebay.

Removed my stereo and behind the TPK music control box is there. Downloaded the files from the Bury email sent to me (sorry no link as on email).. Once I had these files I put it on to the USB. The cable above has a slot for USB to be attached once everything is all wired up tap on the TPK screen and voila! Files start downloading and all up and running. (Take around 15 minutes)

P.S do this with ignition on, not engine.

I'm having the exact same problem. According to VW it will take an hour to fix and cost me £100. Think I'll give it a go myself.

There was a VW desktop bulletin about this there's usb stick update available for it, you get a two year warranty on tpk kits if it was fitted after pdi and three year if it was fitted at pdi, if you have the correct update equipment all you have to do is remove the radio find where they have fitted the control unit, then fit the update cable to the control unit and it updates itself, just make sure you charge the battery when doing this though lol

Did you get your USB pendrive problem sorted?

Hi Aries,

Can you perhaps share the software link they sent to you on the email. I downloaded the software from the VW website, but get an error message on the TPK stating that it cannot find the update container file in the expected container. Did you do anything specific to get this working?
