Does anyone know what the average time is between build week and delivery to the dealership for 3dr manuals?

My buildweek is w/c 25th April (next week) but my dealer told me to expect the car around 30th June, seems like a long time between build and delivery?
I have deep black pearl, 3 door manual -

My build week was 23rd Nov
Left Factory 28th Nov
Arrived UK 10th Dec
Arrived at Dealer 15th Dec (it actually got there on the 10th cos I went to see it on the 12th  bonus of the dealer practically being on Grimsby Dock!)

Does anybody know if you can change the digital toggle display in front of the driver from showing the fuel economy since start to the overall fuel economy?

I know that you can see this info in the car menu on the media system but just a bit more fiddly when driving, on my previous cars the fuel economy in front of the driver has always been overall rather than since start up.

I know I'm prob being picky but just wondered

Press the OK button on the steering wheel, think it does long term, since refuel & since start :)

Mine was built on the easter Friday (25th?) And mine has got into the UK today and should be at the dealership by the weekend, so will not be far off a month from build date to delivery

Managed an average of 48mpg today on a 100 trip mostly motorway. Used the cruise control and drove within the speed limit of course! Just goes to show of you want you can get cracking fuel economy out of this car if you want to.

Hello everyone!

Just noticed this thread and it's interesting to see the delivery timescales, ours is due to be built 24/4 like a few others here, so it will be interesting to see when it actually turns up. The dealer reckons 1st week of June for delivery, so they must be pushing it by hand from Germany, along with other cars.

Saw a blue GTI coming up towards Turners Hill crossroads on the way home last night, anyone from here?

Quickie.. my build week is this week (w/c 18th April). Do we know when the trackers get updated etc? I'm still saying scheduled for this week so was just wondering. I know there's still 2 and a half days left!

Cheers all..

Making me more excited for my black 3dr on its way.

Wow seeing it in the black has made me have some second thoughts. but I have had black cars the last 6 years and you see every tiny scratch on them. think I will be pretty chuffed with the flash red when it arrives :D

Also for guys waiting a good thing to use is the VW live chat on the website if you give them your order number they can tell you exactly where the car is. I have been pestering them for weeks with it haha

Still haven't heard anything about mine yet this week. As long as it isn't a Friday aftenoon car!

A little off topic, but just in case, does any one know if the manual says anything about running in period for an infant engine and when can the sport button be pressed?

The black looks gorgeous. I had second thoughts once I'd placed my order thinking I should have gone for white but the more black ones I see the more it reconfirms my choice for me.. love it!

Also just used the live chat as suggested (thank you!) and this is what I got told

"Thank you for waiting. Your vehicle began build this week. It is currently at checkpoint 5/8. This is the assembly checkpoint. We allow up to 2 weeks for the vehicle to complete build."
